Jim was asked after turning 40 what his primary professional
passion was. His response was:
"My life and career to this point have all led me
to possess a great desire to guide complex organizations through
significant change, which is very
much about leading a process of converting human and technological potential
into real-world business value and results.
This is about helping organizations
realize the criticality of connecting and integrating their business
strategies with the right people, processes
and technology...the quintessential element being people. I primarily
do this by building trust with people at all levels of an organization
and working to create an environment that is safe because it is surrounded
by people committed to telling the truth and being open and matter-of-fact.
I am not in business for the short term.
My approach is grounded in principles
that guide and values that drive me to always try and serve people and
leave organizations better than
when I first touched them. The result is that my clients find better
ways to accelerate the process of change and realize their goals in quicker
and more sustainable ways."
This passion still burns fervently today.
